Opening Workbee April 7th

Post by Rich Johnson » Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:40 am

It's time to begin the 60th season at Waterford Hills. The Opening Workbee is Saturday April 7, at 10:00 A.M.. Unless there is a storm of Biblical proportion the workbee will go on rain or shine. New this year we'll begin with a reading from the GCR by our Director of Racing Bruce McDonald followed by donuts provided by the Facilities Director Ron Krantz.
I'd like to say come early for the good jobs but really they're all good just some a little dirtier than others, dress appropriately. There are a number of banners and sign that need to be put up anyone with electric screw drivers bring them along. Check back with the Forum, by Friday I may think of other items that would be helpful.
Hope to see you'all,
Cheers

Workbee is on for tomorrow, April 7. May not be up on the roof but would like to get corner stations and other ground work done.
Thanks
Ron Krantz

Thanks to all that showed up Saturday. I was overwhelmed by the turn out. We got almost everything done and certainly more than I expected.
Thanks again.

Call me chicken but missing my first Opening Workbee in years just to be in Jamaica was worth the criticism. Besides my wife made me go. Thanks to the 35 folks that braved the cold ( it was 85 degrees in Jamaica ) to the get the place ready for the 2018 season. Due to the weather several item remain to be completed so stay tuned for another workbee opportunity. Our hope is to get the place the Best its looked in years.
Cheers,
