I'm thinking about upgrading my canopy to something like this: https://www.holidaymotorsportsawnings.c ... -above.php
who has good/bad experiences to share about vendors, brands, design considerations, or whatever else I'm not thinking about?

Re: awning question
Andrew,
You might also concider sticking an RV awning on your trailer. The initial cost is pretty high but it's worth the convenience. I replaced the fabric on mine a few years back and it was about $200 for a direct fit. Its a Dometic manual awning.

Re: awning question
I actually like that idea, but my trailer door is nearly flush with the roof, so I need the awning to be higher if it's going to slope down. otherwise the door will dig into it when I swing it open.

I have something like this to keep from slicing the fabric with the door.
