Alex you are correct. I was thinking of the big picture. R's will be just as much fun as A's if everybody uses the same tires. I'd even be happy to use Toyo RA-1's if everybody would agree. (I need to use them for SM anyways, where the racing is really close also).

Just want to get the issue moving one way or another.

No worries Alex, I could feel the love...and it would be fun to have you in the mix again. The Mazdas chasing the German cars!
Or maybe this year it'll be vice-versa!
At any rate, I've got a year of seat time to make up so I'lll be happy just to race.............yeah right, for trhe first weekend anyway!
Randy, looks like you're elected to lead the charge!

Mmmm. For some Miata drivers, that might be seen as a good feature for running WITH the fenders...

Greg,

My understanding is that the 99 Miata is the new ITS car to have. You may want to investgate a little further on this?

Even better yet, spend some of Randy's money and Chris C's money, have them buy RX-7's and, wala, we have spec ITS at Waterford

See'n as how Alex won't run without Hoosier A's

Many great ideas floating around here, especially the spec RX7 series. How about a Germany vs. Japan Cup? We could name it the Axis cup (although that's not very PC) and maybe that will get Alex P to play, er race, with some one other than than himself!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing... I'm not sure we shouldn't give these guys their own race group so I can watch, too! I also wouldn't have to worry about dodging them that way...

So what do we need to do to make this happen?
I would do it and go to the board with our request but i am not even a member (yet). Or does this not really matter?
Steve, can you give advise?
Or does one of the member volunteer and go for it? I can drive and buy the beer after!

Bruce and Christian are both on the Comp. Board and I would suspect a few other members have been monitoring this discussion. I think there is enough of a concensus in ITS for the Comp. Board to consider your request - we will make it an Agenda item at our next meeting, Thursday, March 10.
