Engine machining Q

Post by Brian » Sun Apr 01, 2018 4:47 pm

I figured I would ask the hive mind what local shop you would recommend for some engine machining work to be done;

L15A engine from a 2009 Honda Fit (SOHC).

Need cylinder boring (including alignment to the crank), con rod & piston balancing, block and head decking, valves and seats cut and aligned.

Thanks,
Brian

http://www.b1heads.com ... very good work at reasonable prices, father and son business. They did all the machine work on our Neon engine a couple of seasons ago.

I have used them a few time for block cylinder bore and hone. They do work on all kinds of odd engines. I don't think they do any balancing, i typically go to Crankshaft masters for that.

LSM Engineering is a good place. Also Mazza's on M59. There's also a guy off Holly Rd that is my go-to guy. Steve something. Super reasonable and very, very good.
