Re: Tech Inspection

If you have an SCCA logbook, you'll presumably be wanting an SCCA annual... but if the car already has a WHRRI logbook, you'll get a WHRRI annual, no? With a Regional car, there's no real need for an SCCA logbook vs. a WHRRI logbook... If the car has no logbook, you can get a WHRRI one. If you belie...

Then, in that case, remember the most important rule relating to the IT ruleset: IIDSYCYC!

If It Doesn't Say You Can, You Can't!

Everything you can do is spelled out in the ITCS. If it's not in there, you can't do it...

Re: Is Spec Neon dead?

Chris Childs is the Neon guy to talk to if you want the straight poop on how competitive the car is. From what I've seen, there's no way the Neon can put a candle to the real front-runners in ITA - Mosers, Ruck, etc. However, you might have better luck if you built it into a proper STU car. One of C...

I assume you're applying fresh, or perhaps better put for reinstatement, rather than renewing an active license?

Re: How do I get started racing? - answers within!

Being flexible FWD vs. RWD helps keep the cost down plenty - lots of FWD ITB/ITC cars around that are inexpensive and durable! And of course the Spec Neons. Actually, peeking at our classifieds right now, I'm surprised to see not a whole lot of IT Cars FS, just the few Neons... I would expect more a...

How do I get started racing? - answers within!

So, you want to get started racing, but don't know where to start? You've come to the right place - I'm starting this thread so everyone can chime in with their answers, and add to mine. Maybe the Web Admin can make this thread a sticky? Invariably the best answer is "come out to a race weekend, and...
