Re: Remember these guys and this car at Waterford Hills?

Hi Geoff, Bill Maciolek (iirc ) ran New Boston Auto Service. The car was fast and ran up front. The car was racing in the 90's ( as seen at Mid-Ohio ) John Payne ( a local not much on social media / internet ) ran a out of the same stable with a G-prod Sprite that was very fast but fragile. Next tim...

Re: Race #5 Thanks.....

Thanks to you as well Bruce. Agree on the pursuit race, It went WAY better then i thought it would. Best overall Club weekend race i have enjoyed in maybe 15+ years. A nice homage to the old Co-Driver race, but with an inverted grid. The Race group 2 racing was very good. 30 of anything , even lawn ...

Also note we are less than a week out, and predictions now have us at or near 80 cars.
With the tow rigs and trailers these days, paddock will be fuller than it has been in years.

Re: Vintage F.A.Q. #2 Camping and pets at the track.

Power is around 3/4 of the camp ground.
Camping in the paddock for racers is allowed.

Quiet generators are great if needed. Just be mindful if you have neighbors.

Re: 2018 Vintage race entrant registration is now live.

Actually, that was a plan that was not able to come to fruition. I was the entrant, but Butch was going to drive. My schedule, and my brother's as well, did not allow any time needed to get the car down here, and have time to prep it. No loss, Butch has been super busy at work, so it may have sat an...

Re: Vintage F.A.Q. #3 First time race entrant at Waterford ? Follow me :)

Hello , Yes, Ice is sold at the track by the " Paddock Shoppe" . If they are not open, we normally have an honor system payment can in the cooler. As for fuel, Hamilton's of Ortonville will be there, and will have a wide assortment of race fuel on hand. They are stationed at the far end of paddock a...

Re: 2018 Vintage race entrant registration is now live.

Well, at around 2 weeks out, we are north of 60 entries. With emails coming in, and a few big events over the next 2 weeks, i expect a push of about another 15-20 cars. This is the time before the event were we gain 2 lose one due to car no longer able ( broken ) or life complications. One thing is ...

Part 2. Our paddock is well,,, intimate. We ask you try and help us by taking as little space as you can get by with. Large haulers have become the new normal. Should you bring one, We may ask to " buddy up" folks with you to help save space. Open/enclosed trailers are afforded parking outside the p...

Vintage F.A.Q. #5 Media and Photographers

Of course , both are always welcome. Due to very limited paddock space ( we call it an " intimate" paddock ) We cannot offer paddock parking. We do however offer a constant and quick shuttle service from parking to paddock thru out the day. Photographers are simply asked to allow us free use of phot...

Vintage F.A.Q. #4 Event Vendors : swag fuel tires etc

This year, source of "swag" is now called THE PADDOCK SHOPPE. Nice renovations with new folks carrying the torch continuing the tradition of Waterford Wear-ables and more. Efforts to get shirts to the spectator area are performed for those who do not wish to pay extra for a paddock pass, or just hav...
