1970's Slides Available

An acquaintance gifted me with a box of slides, pictures he took at Waterford in the 1970's. I have no way to use these; they are free to someone who can digitize them for possible use this anniversary year.

Re: Clift Corvette Asked and Answered

As I remarked to Joel on his face book page, Bob Clift couldn't have been a fool. I have to think he would have been satisfied that it was his old car - the one I turned up as having been restored. I think the E-bay listing is not Clift's old car. I don't know if the whole Bob Clift Corvette story h...

Re: Thoughts, Hearts, Prayers

Since I brought it up: My son in law called me late Monday night from their house; it was untouched, not even the garbage cans moved. The house behind them was crushed by a large fallen tree. There was, apparently, no flooding in south St. Pete.

Thoughts, Hearts, Prayers

In May and June we spent 5 weeks moving our daughter and son in law into their first house in south St. Petersburg. Late Sunday and early Monday it will be in the way of the strength of the hurricane. Many of us have friends and family and racing family in the way in Florida. Our thoughts, hearts an...

E.J. Faasen Dies at 91

My son called me to draw my attention to the M-Live obituary. He leaves his wife of 67 years, 9 children, 27 grand children, 31 great grand children and 4 great great grandchildren. After two interviews, he invited my wife, to whom he took a shine, upstairs over the office to see his most prized pos...

HR 350 Recognizing Protection of Motorsports

Reported on the Frank Beckmann show in an interview with an official of SEMA. The law would insure the EPA could never go after people converting street cars to racing cars. Reported and discussed on SEMA's website, https://www.sema.org/sema-enews/2017/02/rpm-act-gets-fast-start-in-2017? The EPA wit...

Apology

To everyone who heard my outburst on the net Sunday. I made a minor mistake and let myself be taken by surprise at the consequences. There is no excuse for deliberate unprofessional conduct. This is my thirteenth year flagging at Waterford and I take low key, undramatic professionalism as the expect...

Re: Miata Rollover Protection

Dave has an educated, realistic view of my mechanical skills. But if you need a barbell butterfly arbitrage trade using 3 years and 7's to replicate 5's and get a short kick in the deal (assuming the curve goes back to normal), I'm your guy.
